Hi! I'm Whitney, the owner & designer behind Maisie Jane Design. My path to interior design wasn't exactly traditional, and I find that unique journey shapes how I approach creating spaces for my clients.
While my formal design training comes from UCLA Extension's Architecture and Interior Design program, my career started somewhere unexpected: Speech Language Pathology.
Working as an SLP taught me the profound importance of understanding individual needs and perspectives. It's all about communication, connection, and tailoring solutions – principles I now weave into every aspect of my design work.
This unique perspective allows me to approach projects with deep empathy, focusing on creating spaces that truly support and enhance the lives of the individuals and families inhabiting them. This includes a focus on cohesive aesthetics, practical function, and even sensory-friendly design considerations. From initial space planning and selecting the perfect materials to overseeing remodels, I’m dedicated to designing spaces that feel right because they are right for you.
